Dearest Driends and Family,

We're thinking about you and praying that God will richly bless you. Merry Christmas! We hope this little note finds you healthy, successful, and full of joy and peace.

We continue to have health problems. But, with God’s help, we are dealing with them. Peter officially retired from his 9 to 5 and is happily spending more time producing television shows. Deb continues to lead Rising Star Speakers, and we both still speak, coach and guide.

Deb’s mother died on September 26th, 2013 while we were on a northern trans-Atlantic cruise after vacationing in Paris. We had the funeral shortly after we came home. We took
care of Deb’s mother ever since her dad died. Her mom’s very deep grief seemed to last until about a month before she died. Looking back on it, she must have felt that she would see him and all her other deceased loved ones soon.

Deb’s sister, Jane, took care of her mother while we were on our trip. When we left for
Paris, Deb’s mom was upbeat and graciously told us to have the best trip of our life. She also told us that Jane had the hospital bed, nurses, and everything else that she needed. She felt save now and Jane was delighted to have her with her. As she weakened, Deb’s brother sat with her. She was able to hear people on the phone say, “I love you.” We certainly love and miss her very much.

We feel blessed to have had such loving and effective parents who gave us solid foundations in faith and in life. We only hope that we have passed it on to our daughter, Jane, who,
with her husband, Troy, pass it on to their daughter, Laura Jane. We also are fortunate to have wonderful sisters, brothers, cousins, Uncle Bob and Aunt Dot.

At the beginning of this year we continued to help Deb’s brother, Harold “Harry,” with his Sweet and Savory Food Concession business. We served food at several ice races, fairs, city celebrations, car shows, family picnics, and three week-long Brimfield shows. We also had to clean out, clean and do a lot of repairs on Deb’s mother’s house.

After Jane, Harry, and Deb decided on a selling price for the house. Our daughter and her husband decided to buy it. The house still needed a new septic system. So we helped them get the septic system and landscaping. The bank finally approved everything and they were able to buy the house in late November. Then Peter helped them move into the house in December.

The year was not all work, we took Jane, Troy, and Laura Jane to Story Land. Laura had tea with Cinderella, met with all the storybook characters at a dinner, and enjoyed the rides, slides, and especially the “tree.” Next year we’ll go back to Story Land with them, socialize more, go on another great vacation, do a family vacation at Moosehead Lake, enjoy Laura more, and work on our own boat, home and yard.

We hope to hear from you about your year. We pray that it was blessed with productivity, abundant love, boundless joy and immeasurable peace.

Please join our Renaissance of the Heart High Tea at noon on the first Saturday of February. For more information, contact RenaissanceLady@RenaissanceoftheHeart.com.
